TEKNO MET EEN K

A documentary produced and directed by Oscar Verschuur as a graduation project in 2003. He made only 100 copies that circulated between people involved in the scene. It was intentionally kept in a closed circuit to prevent having people their faces all over the web and beyond. It was later published publicly on our beloved Internet Archive.. which is loaded with treasures like this documentary.

Watched it a while ago and it just hit me that I never posted this..

..so here it is, for you to enjoy!

Oh and.. the main language spoken is Dutch..

because it documents the dutch scene :D

SEVENUM SIX

Ahh.. good old Jimmy. I feel old thinking about the time he started creating music.. Sevenum Six is one of the artists I have witnessed grow from a front row seat. Evolving over the years into an excellent artist. I wouldn't want to trade in that front row ticket for anything else in the world.. it is amazing to see these guys live up to their potential.. enjoying it and blasting out mental vibes for for your ears to please. Even after getting his gear stolen twice!

At the the age of 17 Sevenum Six fell in love with the production of music. Inspired by the free party scene he started making some hardtek beats in Fruity Loops. After a while of messing arround he discided he wanted to bring his music to the crowd so he changed to Ableton Live. To make his sound more complete he added some hardware to his setup like the korg EMX, EAMK2, a Mopho and some midi controllers. By searching deeper into the world of hardware he discovered the magic sound of the TB303. Meanwhile over the years his sound evolved, getting more dark and mental. After 3 years he became a well known artist in the free party scene and played at party's all over the Netherlands, France and Belgium. Doing this he got the chanse to spread his sound in many places. As a result he got his first vinyl release in 2011 and many to follow... By getting involved with vinyl he also wanted to play them so he bought himself 2 turntables and the shit was really on !! Today Sevenum Six is actively working on bringing you an original sounding liveset and fresh vinylmixes.

And so his passion for the music keeps growing everyday…

GUNNAR HAUTH: FREE TEKNO

Free Tekno is a journey into the underground of illegal underground tekno festivals in central Europe. The crew travel with a group of Dutch and Irish boys who throw illegal rave parties in the forests of Germany and Czech Republic and gain access to an underground that many have heard of but few have seen.

A documentary by Gunnar Hauth.

"In central Europe thrives an underground culture of illegal tekno parties,

open for everyone to join and participate.

The tricky part is finding out where and when they occur.."

REDGE - LE 23ÈME DEGRÉ ENTRE AMIS

Brilliant tribe/tekno liveset with an oldskool flavor..
my kind of tribe :D

ELECTRONIC LIVE Performance since 97 (source Soundcloud)
Singer since 1990 in various groups ranging from alternative rock to Jimmy Hendrick and the Red Hot Cure or see Pink Floyd, I discovered electronic music in 95.

I begin by mixing Techno, Trance and scratches included in the compositions of my last group of rock fusion style "Sly Circus". It follows the discovery of Spiral Tribe and the evolution of my widening mix of Trip Hop to Drum and Bass, Hardcore and the desire to create my own compositions.

With the purchase of a Roland MC 303 and after three months of concentrated effort to manipulate loops on this little box, I live in begins 98. I insert loops into the compositions of the group while starting to play live in the evenings.

The group splitter in 2002, and I keep my songs and lives strongly influenced by the sounds Tribe, Break Beat, Drum and Bass, Hip-hop show.

In 2004, I appeared on a live cd (Family Production, Prod ES) and 2005 on my first vinyl young label "Statik Travel" through the meeting Barouf aka Wise Children.

In late 2005, thanks to former local knowledge, I co-founded the association 4Kicks Production and sign on the first and second opus label Mutation Android. In late 2008, according to new horizons and following the arrival of my son's love, I find myself again solo.

2009, I co-produced with the leitmotif Sound System Azimuth Records first signing in 2 pieces.

Again, I share the feeling of the research group and agree on many proposals for combining musical collaboration turns Mc, percussion, guitar, bass and live performer and dj

LIVESET MAY-HEM RECAP

Maybe you did or didn't notice that last month we posted more livesets then before. This has no particular reason, except for the urge to share free tekno, promote artists or upload their work as a tribute. These downloads are can be accessed directly from our host who is kind enough to let us and our readers abuse his bandwidth.

Those who have no clue what a RAR file is might want to consult Wikipedia. It is a compressed file just like the standard ZIP file which needs to be unpacked. To unpack a RAR file you can use WinRAR (not free) or any other tool suitable. Since I prefer and support open source freeware, I would advice 7-Zip. Good luck :D
